See Napa Valley and Taste Wine on the Wine Train

The Napa Valley Wine Train has carried more than 2.5 million passengers since it began operating in 1989. The train runs from the historic town of Napa to St. Helena and back. It is a lovely 36 mile round-trip, and passengers relax in either vintage Pullman or Vista Dome rail cars that have been lavishly restored. Passengers wend their way through Napa, Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford and St. Helena, while viewing many of Napa Valley’s famous wineries through the large picture windows.

The Wine Train is a culinary experience that transports you back in time… back to a time when trains were the sophisticated and elegant way to travel. To a time when guests could explore the train as the land slipped by, relaxing comfortably in the opulent décor while they waited for dinner to be served. The Legacy Tour:
This 6-hour tour includes a 3-hour rail tour of Napa Valley, departing at 10:15 a.m. Starting with a welcome taste of sparkling wine, a 4-course wine country inspired meal; a 1-hour vineyard tasting and photo opportunity at the Napa Valley Sign; two 1-hour tastings at historic Charles Krug and V. Sattui wineries.

The Vista Dome Tour:
Choose either a 3-hour Lunch Journey, departing at 11:30 a.m. under the magnificent Napa Valley sun, or the 2-hour Dinner Journey, departing at 6:20 p.m. Each offers a multiple course gourmet meal at sunset, with a welcome glass of sparkling wine.

Gourmet Express:
Embrace a slower pace and dine in sophisticated comfort, in stylishly refurbished antique Pullman rail cars. A 3-hour Lunch Journey departing at 11:30 a.m. or a 2-hour Dinner Journey departing at 6:20 p.m. Each offers a multiple course gourmet meal.

Grgich Hills Estate Tasting:
After a gourmet lunch aboard our elegant Wine Train, indulge in a seated 1-hour tasting at charming, quaint, Grgich Hills Estate, home of one of the greatest winemakers in the world. Departs at 11:30 a.m.

Afternoon Tea:
Experience their newest Napa Valley adventure – Afternoon Tea service. Enjoy a 3-hour journey filled with all the delights of a traditional tea service but with our own wine country twist. Savor fine sips, delectable bites and glorious vineyard views on this elegant experience.
