Russian River Railbikes

Here is an experience that may not have been on your checklist. Thanks to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, you can take in the sites of Cloverdale, the Russian River, and Railroad History on a Russian River Railbike. You will pedal through the trees, fields, and hills of Northern Sonoma County on the historic Northwestern Pacific Railroad, a vital transportation link for over 100 years! Railbikes are 100% people-powered and fit up to 4 riders each – keep your hands free and pedal along the tracks. A Picnic rest area offers river access at the mid-way turnaround point of your 6-mile journey.
Highlights include a 450-foot long tunnel under Cloverdale Cemetery; views of the Cloverdale River Park; local farms; trackside communities; vineyards, and the glorious Russian River. Railbikes are departing every weekend, from April through October, Saturday/Sunday. Reservations are encouraged to guarantee your spot. Box lunches are available for noon departures.
