“The sound has been described as ‘Appalachian Soul,’ and I really like that because of our Appalachian roots,” Noelle says. “You get a taste of folk with the songwriting portion, but you also have that rock and soul foundation.”
Formed in 2019 by singer-songwriter Mark Nelson and guitarist/producer Craig Bartock of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees HEART, the group unites some of the Bay Area’s finest players. The result is a timeless yet original sound shaped by Bartock’s commanding guitar and Nelson’s vivid songwriting and raw vocals.
