Uptown Theatre presents An Intimate Evening with Michael Feinstein

Michael Feinstein is an American singer, pianist, arranger, and interpreter of the Great American Songbook. Over more than three decades, he has built a career through recordings, Emmy-nominated PBS television specials, an acclaimed NPR series, and concerts around the world, with appearances at the White House, Buckingham Palace, the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. His recordings have earned five Grammy Award nominations, including a nomination for The Sinatra Project. In 2007, Feinstein founded the Great American Songbook Foundation to preserve and celebrate the repertory through educational programs, master classes, and the High School Songbook Academy. Carnegie Hall has also identified him as an artistic director in its season materials, and he continues to present songbook-centered programs there.
A Michael Feinstein event delivers an experience that recordings, streams, and broadcasts cannot match. The energy of the crowd, the scale of the production or competition, and the atmosphere of a live audience turn each appearance into something fans remember long after it ends. Whether Michael Feinstein is appearing at an intimate theater, a major arena, or a stadium, attending in person puts you inside the moment as it happens.
