This area is known as Railroad Square and was developed in the 1880s when the first trains arrived in Santa Rosa. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The 1904 train depot has been restored and is home to the California Welcome Center as well as the Santa Rosa Convention and Visitors Bureau.
