    The play tells the story of a young Chicano from Chicago, lured to the East Coast by an Ivy League scholarship. As he tries to make a life there, he neglects family relationships and deep cultural roots established throughout generations. It takes his mother’s nearly fatal heart attack, help from a Jewish therapist, and the visitation of the spirits of his long dead relatives (and of his historical idol, Pancho Villa) to help him realize what he’s lost, and how to get it back.

  • Men of Worth: Folk Music with an Accent Global Harmony Concert

    Men of Worth is coming to Gualala Arts on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at 2 pm.  Tickets are $30 in advance, + $5 day of and are available at the Dolphin Gallery, Gualala Arts and online at GualalaArts.org. 

    The name “Men of Worth” was chosen from the title of a folk song written by the Scottish singer/songwriter Archie Fisher.  James Keigher and Donnie Macdonald, together Men of Worth, blend their voices with harmony and support their collection of songs with their varied selection of instruments. They have a very simple approach to their presentation, and in keeping with tradition, remain true to the music and story. Their show is a unique combination of humour, exciting tunes, and soulful, heartfelt ballads.
