Discover Jenner by the Sea!

The rugged Sonoma Coast is known far and wide for its breathtaking vistas, diverse wildlife and secluded coves. Studded with jewels like Goat Rock, Wright’s Beach and Salt Point, perhaps the crown jewel of Sonoma Coast is Jenner by the Sea. Located at the point where the meandering Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean, Jenner is a charming village sitting on a calm estuary that is home to a myriad of seabirds and a colony of harbor seals. Known as Russian River Estuary, this sheltered area is ideal for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and swimming. A very helpful Visitor Center is located at the parking area for the estuary, where you can find a great deal of information about the area, the wildlife and the flora.

WaterTreks Jenner Kayaks is open year ‘round, with a kiosk directly across from the estuary. They not only provide kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards (SUPs) that you can rent by the hour, they can provide knowledgeable tour guides who know the best places and the rich history of the area.

Jenner by the Sea offers several fine dining options, including the restaurant at Jenner Inn. For over a half century, this historic inn has been the village’s main way point for travelers, adventure seekers and those in need of the rest and rejuvenation only found in nature. Well-appointed cottages, as well as lodge rooms, are available, with great ocean views and balconies over the water.

Make Jenner your destination, and explore the rugged coast, the beautiful Russian River and great ocean view trails. Located just 10 miles north of Bodega Bay, 12 miles from Guerneville, under 30 miles from Santa Rosa and 38 miles from Petaluma.
