Love Letters is based on the lifelong, intimate correspondence of these two characters whose entire story unfolds through written words exchanged in the form of letters. In a relationship spanning 50 years, their letters contain their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats throughout their separate lives.

Sheng’s first Netflix special, Sweet & Juicy (2022), produced and directed by Ali Wong, was praised for his laid-back delivery and sharp observations on everyday life. He will return to Netflix with a new special at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., which is set for release in 2026. The special is produced by Ali Wong, Sheng Wang, and John Irwin. Sheng has also appeared on HBO’s 2 Dope Queens and wrote for ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat.
