Formed in Trench Town, Kingston, Jamaica, in the late-1960s, Wailing Souls have experienced numerous transformations. Their discography (over 26 albums to date) includes singles recorded as The Renegades, Pipe & the Pipers, and Atarra. Sly & Robbie and the Roots Radics are only a few of the stellar musicians who have worked with Wailing Souls. Still one of the most powerful forces in Reggae, Wailing Souls continue to tour globally and record new songs with that same vigor they had back in Kingston’s Trench Town decades ago.

Mykal Rose, the Grammy Award-winning voice formerly of Black Uhuru is an R&B and neo-soul artist. In Kingston, Jamaica in the early 70s, Mykal Rose (then Michael) got his start opening for Roberta Flack and playing with Fab 5 and other hotel showbands. As lead vocalist, he and other Black Uhuru members won reggae’s first Grammy award for the album Anthem in 1984.
