The Sonoma County Fair beckons, featuring horse racing, arena events, awesome fair food, the Wine Country Rodeo and Community Theatre events. Admission Gates are open from Noon until 9:00 p.m. The fair will remain open until 10:00 p.m. Monday Through Thursday, Open to 11:00 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and First Sunday.

Art in the Redwoods kicks off with the Hats Off in the Garden Dinner and a Fine Art sneak preview on Thursday, August 14 from 4 to 7 pm. The following day, Friday, August 15, artists and guests can enjoy a Champagne Preview from 4 to 7 pm, with champagne service and a preview of the Outdoor Artists Vendor Booths, culminating in the opening of the Fine Art Exhibit at 4:30 pm, followed by judges critique and award announcements.
The 35th annual, nonprofit, multicultural, multi-generational, international Cotati Accordion Festival will be taking place on August 16th and 17th in La Plaza Park in downtown Cotati, Ca. The festival begins on Friday, August 15th with an opening show at the Church of the Oaks, one block from the Plaza.
