Marin Theatre presents Dance Moms

In this World Premiere, a scrappy dance troupe of mostly middle-aged moms who call themselves “The Slotted Spoons” is gearing up for the biggest performance of their lives when suddenly they find themselves without a choreographer. Enter India, a fearless and wildly unconventional young artist who pulls the Spoons into a creative process that’s as unpredictable as it is personal. What begins as a quest for a simple routine hilariously unfolds into something deeper, and each of the dancers is challenged in ways they never expected. A celebration of moving to one’s own rhythm, Dance Moms is a quirky new comedy about embracing the spotlight as well as difficult truths, even when it’s scary, because it’s never too late to find one’s own voice.
