Take the Kids to Bay Area Discovery Museum

Kids can find hours of entertainment and learning at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, an indoor/outdoor, hands-on children’s museum located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito. Toddlers to 10-year-olds have the opportunity to learn about the region’s natural and cultural environment through interactive exhibits, programs, workshops and performances. The Wave Workshop recreates the habitat under the Golden Gate Bridge, both underwater and on the sandy shores. Kids become sea creatures by donning costumes. They can get a feel for engineering and design by testing various shapes in special water. At the Tot Spot, toddlers and preschoolers can explore animal homes.
