SUMMARY:Sweetwater presents Southern Culture on the Skids
DESCRIPTION:Southern Culture On The Skids has been consistently recording and touring around the world since 1983. The band (Rick Miller – guitar and vocals\, Mary Huff – bass and vocals\, Dave Hartman – drums) has been playing together for over 30 years. Their musical journey has taken them from all-night North Carolina house parties to late night TV talk shows (Conan O’Brien\, The Tonight Show)\, from performing at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan to rockin’ out for the inmates at North Carolina correctional facilities. They’ve shared a stage with many musical luminaries including Link Wray\, Loretta Lynn\, Hasil Adkins and Patti Smith. Their music has been featured in movies and TV\, parodied by Weird Al\, and used to sell everything from diamonds to pork sausage. In 2014 the band was honored by the Southern Folklife Collection at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with an exhibition featuring their music and cultural contributions. Their legendary live shows are a testament to the therapeutic powers of foot-stomping\, butt-shaking rock and roll and what Rolling Stone dubbed “a hell raising rock and roll party.” \nThis Chapel Hill-based trio is flat-out amazing. Without resorting to needless flash or attention-hungry showboating\, Miller in particular is one of the most spectacularly gifted guitar players I’ve ever seen. He juggles a lot of styles – country\, garage rock\, surf\, rockabilly and soul to name just a few. – Stomp & Stammer

SUMMARY:Occidental Center for the Arts presents Electric Tumbleweed
DESCRIPTION:Electric Tumbleweed is a psychedelic outlaw country group based in Sonoma County\, California. Founded in 2019 by members rooted in bluegrass\, country\, and psychedelic rock\, the music is a hard driving mixture of twangy guitar and psychedelic noise\, held together by a steady rhythm section with the cry of pedal steel layered in between it all. Electric Tumbleweed has maintained steady momentum in the Northern California music scene; backing David Nelson (New Riders of the Purple Sage) on multiple occasions; most notably at the Mystic Theater with guest Mark Karan (Ratdog) for a sold out performance. Electric Tumbleweed performed regularly at Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads as a solo group as well as with Scott Law\, Barry Sless (Phil Lesh and Friends) and Dave Zirbel (Sammy Hagar Band) are regular pedal steel players in the group. The band has been invited to play multiple festivals and events including The String Cheese Incident’s Hog Farm Hideaway\, Ain’t Necessarily Dead Fest (backing David Nelson). We aim to keep our goals high\, and to perform high quality music; focusing on writing and arranging new songs\, and booking future tour dates. We are excited to release our debut full-length album in October 2021\, which features Sam Bush (New Grass Revival)\, Barry Sless (Phil Lesh & Friends)\, and Lester and Dylan Chambers (The Chambers Brothers). The album features the artwork of Stanley Mouse/Jennae Bennett and was engineered and mastered by Grammy winning Oz Fritz (Tom Waits).

SUMMARY:The California Theatre presents The Illeagles - The Premiere Tribute to The Music of The Eagles
DESCRIPTION:What do people want when they go see a live band? The members of SF Bay Area based tribute band ILLEAGLES believe that everyone in the crowd wants to be engaged and captivated from the first note until the show is done. Over the past 9 years of many sold-out performances\, that is exactly what every crowd has gotten! \nILLEAGLES was founded in 2016 when 6 friends came together\, who all had 2 things in common: 1) they loved the music of The Eagles\, and 2) each member was an amazing musician in their own right. This common vision led to hours and hours of studying\, rehearsing\, and mastering each of The Eagles classic hits. \nFrom rockers “Life in the Fast Lane” and “Heartache Tonight”\, to swooning ballads “Desperado” and “Best of My Love”\, ILLEAGLES not only reproduce the soaring guitars\, multi-part harmonies and tightness of the original band\, but also add their own brand of swagger and energy that keeps fans coming back over and over. It’s commonplace for a majority of the audience to start singing along on the first song\, and continuing to sing until the show is over (or they lose their voices). \nWith over six decades of memories\, the best-selling US album of the 20th Century\, and six Grammys\, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The Eagles are true legends. ILLEAGLES tastefully keep those memories alive! \nhttp://www.illeaglesband.com

SUMMARY:Sweetwater presents The Tannehill Weavers
DESCRIPTION:Born of a session in Paisley\, Scotland\, and named for the town’s historic weaving industry and local poet laureate Robert Tannahill\, the Tannahill Weavers have made an international name for their special brand of Celtic music\, blending the beauty of traditional melodies with the power of modern rhythms.  As one of the world’s premier traditional Celtic bands\, their diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals\, topical songs\, original ballads and lullabies\, and humorous tales of life in Scotland.\n\nOver the years the Tannies have been trailblazers for Scottish music\, and their tight harmonies and powerful\, inventive arrangements have won them fans from beyond the folk and Celtic music scenes.  In 2011 the band was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame\, and in 2018 they released their highly acclaimed 50th Anniversary album Òrach (“Golden” in Gaelic) on award-winning label Compass Records\, followed by the well loved Celtic holiday celebration Solstice in 2024. \n\nAs they approach their 58th anniversary\, the Tannahill Weavers are firmly established as one of the premier groups on the concert stage. From reflective ballads to footstomping reels and jigs\, the variety and range of the material they perform is matched only by their enthusiasm and lively Celtic spirits.\n\n“Formed from a Paisley pub session in 1968\, seminal trailblazers the Tannahill Weavers now also rank as national treasures.” \n                                   -Glasgow Celtic Connections

SUMMARY:Sweetwater presents Jeffrey Martin with Sam Weber
DESCRIPTION:Jeffrey Martin has been reaching for quiet and stories since he was a kid hiding under the covers with a Discman. He wrote his way through a writing degree\, a teaching degree\, and years of high school English classes filled with unruly brilliance\, all while making records and playing shows whenever he could. Eventually\, he left teaching to follow the same dream he encouraged his students to chase. After releasing Thank God We Left the Garden\, he recorded Alive July 25\, 2025\, a no-edits live album captured in Portland with Sam Weber. Jeffrey tours full time now\, still missing teaching like an old friend he’ll meet again.\n\nSam Weber is a Canadian singer-songwriter\, guitarist\, music producer and recording engineer. His own recorded works and collaborations with Bahamas\, Madison Cunningham\, and producers Robbie Lackritz and Tyler Chester have yielded millions of streams.

SUMMARY:Sweetwater presents Max Gomez
DESCRIPTION:Singer/Songwriter Max Gomez grew up in Taos\, New Mexico\, where he fell under the influence of country blues early on and developed a songwriting style that was uniquely his. He received critical acclaim upon the release of his debut album Rule The World (2013\, New West Records); and his subsequent EP\, Me and Joe (2017\, Brigadoon Records)\, contained a freshly minted classic\, “Make It Me\,” which has gained over 4 million listeners on Spotify alone.\n\nAs a budding performer\, Max apprenticed in the rarefied musical micro-climate of northern New Mexico\, where troubadours like Michael Martin Murphey and Ray Wylie Hubbard helped foster a Western folk sound both cosmic and country.\n\nHe has shared billing on hundreds of stages with genre stalwarts like James McMurtry\, Buddy Miller\, John Hiatt\, Patty Griffin\, Tommy James & The Shondells\, Jeff Beck\, and Johnny Depp. Judging by the company he keeps\, Gomez is poised to emerge as a prominent voice of Americana’s next generation.\n\nMax is currently on tour in support of his album Memory Mountain.

SUMMARY:Cloverdale Performing Arts Center presents The Business of Murder
DESCRIPTION:A critical and popular success in London\, this psychological thriller about revenge centers on the interlocking triangular relationship between Dee\, a successful television playwright; Hallet\, a detective superintendent; and Stone\, a humorless\, prissy man. She is rather surprised when Hallett\, with whom she is having an affair\, also arrives\, apparently to investigate a matter concerning Stone’s son and his involvement with a drug ring. But where are wife and son? After many twists and turns\, Stone’s intentions become clear as he slowly reveals the precise nature of the trio’s relationship: all three are very much concerned with the business of murder and the play culminates in another perpetration of the crime. \nFriday and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm

SUMMARY:Sweetwater presents The Smithereens
DESCRIPTION:Since their formation in Carteret\, New Jersey in 1980\, The Smithereens have earned a reputation as one of America’s most enduring rock bands. Founding members Pat DiNizio (vocals/guitar)\, Jim Babjak (guitar/vocals)\, Mike Mesaros (bass/vocals)\, and Dennis Diken (drums/vocals) built a distinctive sound rooted in the melodic punch of the British Invasion\, fused with the raw energy of American garage rock. The result was a catalog of timeless songs that continue to resonate with audiences worldwide.\n\nThe band’s breakthrough came with the 1986 release of Especially for You\, featuring the modern rock classics “Blood and Roses” and “Behind the Wall of Sleep.” Critical acclaim and radio success soon followed with Green Thoughts (1988) and 11 (1989)\, albums that delivered charting singles including “Only a Memory\,” “A Girl Like You\,” and “Too Much Passion.” Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s\, The Smithereens became fixtures on MTV\, college radio\, and mainstream rock stations\, while touring extensively with artists such as Tom Petty\, Lou Reed\, and The Pretenders.

SUMMARY:Green Music Center presents Sonoma Bach Harvest Time: A Seal Upon Our Hearts
DESCRIPTION:Circa 1600\nLive Oak Baroque Orchestra Consort\nAmanda McFadden\, director\nSat-Sun\, Nov 14-15\, 2026 – Tickets: $17-$40\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, November 14\, 2025 at 3 p.m.\nSunday\, November 15\, 2025 at 3 p.m. \nBachgrounder lecture 35 minutes before each concert \nFollowing our opening recital’s exploration of many of the foundational tales recounted in the Book of Genesis\, Circa 1600 has the pleasure of turning forward in the Old Testament and stepping into the mystical garden of the Song of Songs. Filled with longing\, sensuality\, and memorable imagery\, it’s no wonder that this sacred poetry inspired many composers to write such expressive music. We will explore motets by composers close to our heart including Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina\, Tomás Luis de Victoria\, and Jacobus Clemens non Papa as well as lesser-known gems\, including the wonderful Missa Ego flos campi by Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla. \nCirca 1600 is our mixed chamber choir\, exploring the rich intersection of the Renaissance and Baroque eras. The group’s core repertoire spans the 16th and 17th centuries\, with excursions back into the 15th century and forward to J.S. Bach. The ensemble’s artistic vision is shaped by the works of Josquin Desprez\, Claudio Monteverdi\, Heinrich Schütz and their contemporaries\, bringing early music vividly to life. \nLive Oak Baroque Orchestra (LOBO) is Sonoma Bach’s period-instrument ensemble\, led by acclaimed Baroque violinists Elizabeth Blumenstock and Aaron Westman. LOBO combines sumptuous tone with breathtaking flair to perform repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries. Experience Baroque music at its finest\, passionately performed by some of the country’s most exceptional period instrumentalists.
