Blues Defenders hosts a weekly concert with headliners and swing dancing. Andersen played in Charlie Musselwhite's band and got a Blues Music Award for best contemporary blues album for Charlie Musselwhite's Delta Hardware. Then,when Little Charlie retired Andersen took his place as guitarist in the Nightcats Andersen has also done extensive touring with Elvin Bishop. He is married to American Idol contestant Lisa Leuschner. They both own Greaseland Recording Studios in San Jose.

As a passionate champion for the people of Mali and The Sahel, Vieux founded the charity Amahrec Sahel in 2012. As part of Amahrec Sahel’s mission to support humanitarian reconstruction and culture, the charity has provided school supplies for children, supported an orphanage in Bamako and provided musical instruments for young musicians in Mali.
