SUMMARY:Marin Theatre presents Betrayal
DESCRIPTION:The end is the beginning. Moving backwards and forwards in time\, Betrayal illuminates a seven-year affair between Emma and Jerry\, her husband Robert’s closest friend. As the story unravels\, the tension between memory and reality is sharpened\, revealing shifting perspectives\, hidden motives\, unspoken power dynamics\, and titillating pleasure behind the deception. Laced with Pinter’s signature wit\, this piercing drama is a masterclass in what is said — and unsaid — between lovers and friends. Words and silences punctuate the irreversible consequences of long-concealed truths and betrayals which reverberate far beyond a single act.\n\nThis play is recommended for ages 16 and up.

SUMMARY:Cloverdale Performing Arts Center presents The Business of Murder
DESCRIPTION:A critical and popular success in London\, this psychological thriller about revenge centers on the interlocking triangular relationship between Dee\, a successful television playwright; Hallet\, a detective superintendent; and Stone\, a humorless\, prissy man. Dee arrives at Stone’s flat\, having accepted an invitation to discuss a script by Stone’s wife. She is rather surprised when Hallett\, with whom she is having an affair\, also arrives\, apparently to investigate a matter concerning Stone’s son and his involvement with a drug ring. But where are wife and son? After many twists and turns\, Stone’s intentions become clear as he slowly reveals the precise nature of the trio’s relationship: all three are very much concerned with the business of murder and the play culminates in another perpetration of the crime. \nFriday and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm

SUMMARY:Green Music Center presents Sonoma Bach Harvest Time: A Seal Upon Our Hearts
DESCRIPTION:Circa 1600\nLive Oak Baroque Orchestra Consort\nAmanda McFadden\, director\nSat-Sun\, Nov 14-15\, 2026 – Tickets: $17-$40\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, November 14\, 2025 at 3 p.m.\nSunday\, November 15\, 2025 at 3 p.m. \nBachgrounder lecture 35 minutes before each concert \nFollowing our opening recital’s exploration of many of the foundational tales recounted in the Book of Genesis\, Circa 1600 has the pleasure of turning forward in the Old Testament and stepping into the mystical garden of the Song of Songs. Filled with longing\, sensuality\, and memorable imagery\, it’s no wonder that this sacred poetry inspired many composers to write such expressive music. We will explore motets by composers close to our heart including Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina\, Tomás Luis de Victoria\, and Jacobus Clemens non Papa as well as lesser-known gems\, including the wonderful Missa Ego flos campi by Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla. \nCirca 1600 is our mixed chamber choir\, exploring the rich intersection of the Renaissance and Baroque eras. The group’s core repertoire spans the 16th and 17th centuries\, with excursions back into the 15th century and forward to J.S. Bach. The ensemble’s artistic vision is shaped by the works of Josquin Desprez\, Claudio Monteverdi\, Heinrich Schütz and their contemporaries\, bringing early music vividly to life. \nLive Oak Baroque Orchestra (LOBO) is Sonoma Bach’s period-instrument ensemble\, led by acclaimed Baroque violinists Elizabeth Blumenstock and Aaron Westman. LOBO combines sumptuous tone with breathtaking flair to perform repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries. Experience Baroque music at its finest\, passionately performed by some of the country’s most exceptional period instrumentalists.

SUMMARY:Sweetwater presents Shakedown Citi
DESCRIPTION:Shakedown Citi is a fresh new force on the jam band scene\, born in the heart of a Grateful Dead parking lot at Citi Field in 2023.  When the band’s members crossed paths on Shakedown Street\, something clicked – and the music hasn’t stopped since.\n\nRather than imitating the Dead\, Shakedown Citi channels their spirit – creating spontaneous\, soulful performances that feel alive\, adventurous and totally in the moment. Each set is a journey\, full of unexpected twists\, deep grooves and musical conversation that pulls even the most skeptical listener into the vibe.  Every Shakedown Citi show begins long before the first note.  Each setlist is thoughtfully and meticulously crafted from the Dead repertoire\, affiliated catalogs and beyond\, balancing deep cuts and beloved anthems\, rarities and reprises.  No two nights are ever the same – each performance stands as a work of art on its own\, alive in its moment\, while also fitting into the larger patchwork of the repertoire.  \n\nIt’s not just a tribute – it’s the Dead\, reborn.
