SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents Marty O'Reilly Trio
DESCRIPTION:Raw\, road-tested\, and impossible not to move to—this trio brings serious groove and storytelling straight to the stage. \nThere’s something about Marty O’Reilly’s music that feels like it’s always been here—like an old story being told in a new way. His voice is raw and real\, his guitar playing gritty and soulful. It’s music that doesn’t try to be anything other than honest\, and that’s exactly why it hits so hard. \nHe pulls inspiration from the roots of Americana; his sound references folk greats like Woody Guthrie\, blues legends like Howlin’ Wolf\, gospel pioneers like Sister Rosetta Thorpe\, and master storytellers like Tom Waits. It’s a sound that captivates and connects audiences and leaves them wanting more. \nHis live shows aren’t just concerts—they’re cathartic experiences. One moment it’s soft and haunting\, the next it’s wild and electric. The kind that stay with you long after the lights come up. \nBut it’s not just about the sound. Marty’s songs dig deep into the human experience—loneliness\, connection\, love\, loss. Whether it’s an intimate solo set or a full band show\, he makes every audience feel like they’re part of the story. \nOver the years\, Marty has built a dedicated following through relentless touring and staying true to his craft. He’s shared the stage with artists like Shakey Graves\, St. Paul & The Broken Bones\, Sarah Jarosz\, and Alice O’Donovan and played at festivals like Bottlerock\, SXSW\, and High Sierra Music Festival\, but his focus has always been on making music that means something. \nMarty has poured everything into his music—spending years on the road\, self-funding his albums\, and navigating the ups and downs of life as an independent artist\, husband\, and father. But through it all\, he’s never lost sight of why he started: to make honest music that connects. \nIf you’re looking for music that feels real\, that makes you stop and listen\, Marty O’Reilly is someone you need to hear.

SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents Vanessa Collier
DESCRIPTION:Singer/songwriter Vanessa Collier’s sixth album Do It My Own Way was recorded on analog gear with the musicians largely in one room. Do It My Own Way is sonically inspired by the classic Memphis soul sound of Stax and Hi Records\, especially that of the Staples Singers. Second single “Wild As a Rainstorm\,” which dives deep into soul territory\, powerfully gives advice to women and people who feel left out to ignore the naysayers and “Be a tapestry of dreams.” The track been added to Spotify’s official Retro Soul playlist. The groove and horns would make Willie Mitchell proud\, and indeed features legendary Hi Records organist Rev. Charles Hodges. The vocals are powerful\, awe-inspiring\, and undeniably soulful vocals.  \nTalking about the album\, Collier adds\, “It’s a warmer and darker sounding a record\, recorded intentionally to reflect a throwback to older school soul\, R&B\, blues\, and to the days of great songs and songwriters\, tube amps and analog gear.”  \nDo It My Own Way takes listeners back to the heyday of music with Memphis soul-influenced horn arrangements\, layers of vocals for color\, with poignant and powerful saxophone solos that deliver a quietly powerful undercurrent to each song and the album as a whole. Minor key Americana/noir “Take Me Back” served as the first single. The album kicks off with the funk workout “Elbow Grease.” On an album full of incredible grooves\, “Shoulda Known Better” stands out while “Just One More” sways toa rhumba beat.  \nThe gospel-tinged “Rosetta” pays tribute to one of Collier’s heroes\, electric guitar pioneer Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Collier sings\, “She’s carried the torch so I can see a little bit better… There’d be no Elvis or Chuck Berry. Sometimes the women do it best. She tackled all the inequities. And fought with strength and audacity.”

SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents Chancey Williams
DESCRIPTION:Saddle Bronc athlete-turned neo-traditional country music sensation Chancey Williams has gone from competing on horseback to performing on center stage. As one of only two artists (along with Chris LeDoux) to both compete in the rodeo and perform on the main stage at Cheyenne Frontier Days and the only singer/songwriter to be endorsed by CINCH®\, Williams is the next authentic cowboy of country music. The northeastern Wyoming native has toured the nation\, taking the stage ahead of headliners Toby Keith\, Cody Johnson\, Alan Jackson\, Dierks Bentley and Parker McCollum\, performing at a sold-out Ryman Auditorium\, Red Rocks Amphitheatre\, as well as headlining at The National Finals Rodeo and multiple performances at the Grand Ole’ Opry. \n“For us\, it’s been a long journey of playing against what was popular in country music\, but we just stayed the course\,” Williams told People Magazine of staying true to his roots. “I always tell the band\, don’t worry about whatever any other artist is doing. We have blinders on.” \nRepresenting the western lifestyle and cowboy mentality in its truest form\, The Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame inductee’s sound and subject matter has found its time in Nashville’s country scene\, as demonstrated on his latest release\, seventh studio album Miles On Me. The project includes several previously released singles\, including 2025 stand-outs “Pearl Snap Preacher\,” “The Ballad of Uncle Don” (an autobiographical tune about his actual Uncle Don)\, and the title track\, as well as three new tunes\, including focus track “Past the Point of Rescue.” \nSaving Country Music wrote\, “If we could wave a magic wand and instantly remake mainstream country music into something much better than what it is today\, Chancey Williams…would not be a bad wish at all.” \n“The time has finally come for Chancey Williams\,” declared People Magazine. “Cowboys are cool again!”

SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents Wake the Dead
DESCRIPTION:As an expression of cultural joy\, you can’t top an Irish wake. And what is a wake but a celebration — a toast of appreciation — an expression of love — and a damn good party? \nSo when seven top Bay Area musicians realized they shared as deep a love for the songs of the Grateful Dead as they did for traditional Celtic tunes\, some brand-new music sprang up and started partying. \nWAKE THE DEAD is a romp that flows seamlessly from rock grooves to hot Irish reels\, and from haunting airs to achingly beautiful melodies familiar to Deadheads everywhere. “Sugaree” in waltz time\, bracketed by an ancient harp tune and infused with a poignant Celtic longing. “Bertha” thundering out of “China Cat” on a mandolin tidal wave. The eerie lilt of the uilleann pipes\, giving a glow to “Bird Song” as if it was always meant to be there. Groove jams to keep the tie-dye swirling. Vocal harmonies that float like clouds. The music takes off\, and the band follows\, grinning all the way. These aren’t worlds colliding — they’re worlds meshing\, coalescing creating a whole new world of possibility\, and true to the spirits of the Grateful Dead and the eternally hopeful Celts. \nWAKE THE DEAD bands together seven of the best-known and most respected players in the west. Bassist Cindy Browne Rosefield is equally at home in folk and jazz\, touring globally as the musical fusion go-to gal. Singer\, fiddler\, and octave mandolinist Danny Carnahan is an award-winning songwriter whose original Irish-tinged songs are popular worldwide. Kevin Carr is a musical triple-threat\, renowned as a dance fiddler\, a pennywhistler\, and Irish piper par excellence. Sylvia Herold’s delicious vocal phrasing can also be heard on her solo recordings and her performances with Euphonia. Paul Kotapish is known far and wide for his work with Kevin Burke’s Open House\, and for his blazing guitar and mandolin with The Hillbillies From Mars and Euphonia. And Latin percussionist Brian Rice rounds out the band’s groove engine.

SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents The Third Mind | Fully Seated with Bolero
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Dave Alvin\, Jesse Sykes\, Victor Krummenacher\, Michael Jerome\, and Mark Karan   \n“I had a crazy idea and was looking for musicians who perhaps didn’t think it was so insane”. – Dave Alvin  \nStarting five years ago as a wishful music fantasy\, The Third Mind\, a super group deemed “Californian Psychedelic Rockers” by Doom Charts\, has now become a powerful and thrilling sonic reality.  \nThe brainchild of Grammy award-winning songwriter/guitarist Dave Alvin and veteran  alternative music bassist Victor Krummenacher (Camper Van Beethoven\, Monks of Doom\,  Eyelids)\, The Third Mind began with studio recordings also featuring Jesse Sykes from her critically acclaimed group\, Jesse Sykes and The Sweeter Hereafter\, drummer Michael  Jerome (Richard Thompson\, Better Than Ezra\, John Cale)\, guitarist David  Immerglück (Counting Crows\, Monks of Doom\, Camper Van Beethoven)\, with special guest\, legendary LA musician\, Willie Aron on Keys.   \nLIVE – The Third Mind present their psychedelic improv performances with the addition of guitarist Mark Karan (Bob Weir’s Ratdog\, Phil Lesh\, Delaney Bramlett) subbing for Immerglück.  \nThe Third Mind’s eponymous debut was released in 2020\, featuring extended and psychedelic versions ranging from 8-10 minutes of songs by Alice Coltrane\, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band\, and Roky Erickson’s 13th Floor Elevators. Following its release\, tour plans were thwarted by the pandemic. The group reconvened in 2022 for a second album – The Third Mind 2 – which  shifted from the instrumental focus of their first effort to vocals with Seattle-based Jesse Sykes  at the helm covering songs from the late ‘60s by the Electric Flag\, Fred Neil\, Dillard and Clark  along with an original tune\, “Tall Grass\,” penned by Alvin and Sykes.  \nHailed as a “must-see” performance by the San Francisco Chronicle\, The Third Mind made their live debut performance at the 2023 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco’s legendary Golden Gate Park\, which CBS News Bay Area proclaimed “a spectacular  performance.” A 10-date West Coast tour followed the festival garnering rave reviews including  Twangville who noted\, “if you want to experience a set of musicians at the top of their game improvising down a psychedelic rabbit hole\, go catch The Third Mind.”

SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents The Garcia Project
DESCRIPTION:THE GARCIA PROJECT \nwith Jacklyn LaBranch (of The Jerry Garcia Band 82–95) \nThe Garcia Project performs full\, unaltered classic Jerry Garcia Band setlists from 1976–1995 — song for song\, set for set — using era-correct arrangements\, tempos\, instrumentation\, and gear to recreate the authentic sound that defined those legendary shows. \nSince 2010\, The Garcia Project is more than a tribute\, the band delivers the emotional and communal experience that made the classic Jerry Garcia Band so beloved. A recent Grateful Web feature described their performances as “a night of healing\, heart\, and pure Jerry magic\,” noting that The Garcia Project opens “a little doorway back to the Jerry Garcia Band years\,” with the same warmth\, looseness\, and deep musical breath that defined the original concerts. \nOver the years\, fans have affectionately dubbed The Garcia Project the ‘DSO of JGB’ — not as a comparison to any other band\, but to express the level of precision\, intention\, and respect they bring to recreating classic shows. \nTheir authenticity has earned praise from the musicians who lived it

SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents The White Buffalo
DESCRIPTION:For The White Buffalo – aka singer songwriter guitarist Jake Smith\, Oregon-born\, Southern California-raised – it was time to take the less travelled path; to assemble notions for studio album Number 8\, the follow-up to ‘On The Widow’s Walk’ (Snakefarm\, 2020)\, and embark on a voyage of discovery. Out with the old\, the organic\, the expected\, the tried; in with the new – new producer\, new studio\, new location\, no distractions\, no looking back. \n“You think we’re a country band? A folk band? Americana? Rock? What the fuck are you gonna say now?!” laughs Jake. “With this album\, I wanted something outside of what I’ve ever done. I wanted to open up. Do something dangerous. I’m hard to put into a singular genre as it is\, but now I really wanted to take away any kind of preconception or pigeon-holing.” \nWith an impressive clientele numbering Eric Church\, Brothers Osborne\, Fidlar\, Ashley McBryde\, Halestorm\, Little Big Town\, Cage the Elephant\, to name just a few\, multi-instrumentalist Joyce has a reputation for working at an intense level. \nHe’s a Grammy Award-winning Producer of the Year (2018)\, has 4 CMA and 5 ACM Awards\, and when it comes to making music\, the Ohio native is never one to take the obvious route – perfect for an album featuring a dozen musical vignettes\, individual yet constant in flow; an album loosely based around the shifting of the seasons and the shifting of a relationship; an album showing off the complete scope of Jake’s song-writing craft\, from the stripped back to the fully loaded. \n
