DESCRIPTION:Born in Brooklyn\, NY\, Jason Farnham took up with music at an early age. While attending Ohio University\, he began performing at pubs and university events in Athens with Pinker Than Pale\, an experimental rock trio he formed with fellow musicians Bryan Murphy and Lara Wallace. It was during this time he wrote and recorded his first Bowie-esque demo single\, “Octagon.” Farnham’s first solo album\, Barriers\, was produced in Toronto in 2006. \nIf U2 + Depeche Mode had a baby\, that’s Jason Farnham. \nA Santa Rosa resident since 2013\, he currently splits his time between playing around Sonoma County and recording both originals and covers. \nAbout Luther Locals Live \nMake it all about great music\, family fun\, and dancing on the big green grass this summer with Luther Locals Live\, LBC’s free outdoor concert series featuring the local bands you love. Plus local eats\, craft beers\, and Rodney Strong Vineyards wines. Oh\, and\, just to add a little extra garlic\, the band is also fronted alternately by 3 of Frank’s most iconic vocalists. \nFounded in 2019 by Nick Chargin – a 35-year veteran of the SF Bay Area music scene\, the Stinkfoot Orchestra spent the pandemic transcribing the music and honing their craft – finally bringing the fruits of their labor to the stage in September of 2021. SFO is dedicated to presenting Zappa’s compositions with the respect they deserve and the musicianship required to execute properly. \nThe ensemble has toured up and down the West Coast since the Summer of 2022 – constantly expanding their reach and exposing a whole new generation to the music as it was meant to be heard while leaving even the most critical Zappa fans pining for more.

Most recently the band is promoting their new singles “They Will Test You”\, “This Weapon”\, and “Give Me A Song”. All three tunes were penned by Westerly’s lead singer and principal songwriter Sterling Spence and showcase the band at its creative best. In addition to Spence\, Westerly’s lineup includes Scott Wilson (lead guitar)\, Mike Bond (drums)\, Shiva Garshasbi (vocals)\, Spencer Hatfield (bass)\, and Evelyn Yining Hong (keys). A force to be reckoned with live\, the band actively performs all over the state of California\, gracing clubs\, bars\, coffee shops\, radio stations\, old folks homes and circus tents. They have shared stages with the likes of guitar virtuoso Grace Bowers and Latin Music Legends Ozomatli as well as being featured extensively on Bay Area radio stations including KPFA\, KALW\, and KALX. 2026 will see the band continuing to release new material and expanding their presence on stages up and down the West Coast.

Soul. Swing. Rhythm & Blues. Jazz. Jump. It’s a sound that’s classic and simple\, but when it’s done right\, it hits the spot\, and has you grinning from ear to ear. Spike has spent years searching for this sound. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom the Texas blues joints he cut his teeth in to the funky halls of New Orleans\, he was always studying the music\, trying to find just the right recipe.
