SUMMARY:Ross Valley Players presents Death of a Salesman
DESCRIPTION:Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman is a work of deep and revealing beauty\, that remains one of the most profound achievements in American theater. \nSet in late 1940s Brooklyn and told through a montage of memories\, dreams\, and arguments of the protagonist traveling salesman Willy Loman who is despondent with his life and appears to be slipping into senility. Several tragic\, soul-searching revelations – concerning his wife\, his sons and his business associates – underscore how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. \nArthur Miller had been thinking about a play about a salesman for years. He also had new interest in the simultaneity of the past and present. Miller sought to “do a play without any transitions at all\, dialogue that would simply leap from bone to bone of a skeleton that would not for an instant cease being added to\, an organism as strictly economic as a leaf\, as trim as an ant.”

SUMMARY:6th Street Playhouse presents Misalliance
DESCRIPTION:Misalliance is one of George Bernard Shaw’s most spirited and surprising comedies. Set in the drawing room of a prosperous English family on a seemingly ordinary afternoon\, the tranquility is shattered when an airplane literally crashes into their greenhouse\, introducing a bold\, unconventional aviatrix into the midst of polite society. As suitors circle\, secrets surface\, and romantic expectations unravel\, Shaw turns the traditional courtship comedy on its head with sharp wit and deliciously tangled misunderstandings. \nBeneath its farcical twists and sparkling dialogue\, Misalliance offers lively debate alongside laugh-out-loud moments\, making it as thought-provoking as it is entertaining. First performed in 1910 it has endured as a favorite among Shaw enthusiasts for its feminist themes and energetic social satire. The play reflects the early 20th century’s fascination with aviation\, modern industry\, and shifting social structures\, capturing a world on the brink of transformation.

SUMMARY:Sweetwater Music Hall presents The Young Dubliners
DESCRIPTION:Young Dubliners have begun work on their tenth studio album (with longtime producer Irish-born Tim Boland) while still maintaining their busy tour schedule.  They have returned to the road post-pandemic stronger than ever and determined to bring their fusion of Celtic and rock music to as many people as they can.\n\nThe band is Keith Roberts (vocals / guitar)\, Chas Waltz (Violin\, keys\, vocals)\, Justin Pecot (guitar\, vocals)\, Dave Ingraham (drums) and Ethan Jones (bass guitar). With a batch of incredible new songs and an undeniable energy\, the band is excited to bring their show to festivals\, theaters and clubs around the world.\n\n“We want to be the band who reminds the world how important a good gig can be to our sanity after what we’ve all been through\,” says Roberts.\n\nFor only the second time the band is looking to its fans to finance the album instead of a traditional record company.\n\n“The business has changed so much over our lifetime that it no longer makes sense for us to take money from a label and then owe it all back\,” adds Roberts. “Making all our supporters co-producers is a far more rewarding way to make a record and allows us to maintain control all the way”.

SUMMARY:Luther Burbank Center for the Arts presents Froggy’s 30th Birthday featuring Corey Kent with Max Vogel
DESCRIPTION:Froggy 92.9 celebrates its 30th birthday with a high-energy country celebration featuring Sony Music Nashville’s Corey Kent. Kent brings his signature blend of Oklahoma grit\, country soul and rebel rock energy to the stage for a performance built on conviction\, powerhouse vocals and hard-earned momentum. Rising from the dancehalls and dive bars of Bixby\, Oklahoma\, Kent has carved his own lane in country music with a sound influenced by Bruce Springsteen and Creedence Clearwater Revival as much as George Strait and Brooks & Dunn. His journey has been defined by perseverance\, from early Nashville setbacks to a breakout run that now includes two No. 1 country radio hits\, the 3X Platinum “Wild As Her\,” the Gold-certified “This Heart\,” Platinum-certified “Something’s Gonna Kill Me” and more than one billion career streams. With his latest album\, Heartland Rock and Roll\, Kent leans fully into the sound that sets him apart: smoky vocals\, small-town storytelling\, country-rock intensity and a deep sense of gratitude earned through the slow build. \nOpening the celebration is Max Vogel\, a Windsor-based country artist known for honest storytelling\, strong melodies and a modern take on traditional country roots. Together\, Corey Kent and Max Vogel deliver a spirited night of music that blends national country star power with local Sonoma County energy. Join us in celebrating Froggy’s 30th birthday with a concert you won’t want to miss!

SUMMARY:Sweetwater Music Hall presents Wolf Jett with Sqwerv
DESCRIPTION:The sound of Wolf Jett will make you dance\, sing… and possibly even howl! \n\nTheir all-original songs infuse folk\, soul and Americana into what they call “Cosmic Mountain Music.” Co-founded by two life-long friends and musical partners\, Wolf Jett combines the southern-fried vocals and guitar of Tennessee-born frontman Chris Jones with Jon Payne’s endlessly groovy drums. Currently performing with Duncan Shipton (bass)\, Allyson Makuch (vocals)\, Rory Cloud (guitar)\, and Alex Benjamin (keys/percussion).\n\nChris and Jon formed Wolf Jett in early 2020. The ‘Jett’ comes from his maternal grandfather’s last name\, and is a tribute to his family’s legacy. Just before the scheduled release of their debut album the world was hit by pandemic and all tours were cancelled\, so they constructed an analog studio at Jon’s residence called “House on a Hill” in Boulder Creek\, CA. Tragically\, CZU Lightning fires ripped through Big Basin State Park in August of that year\, consuming the house and studio along with it. Their story was featured in SF Chronicle\, Oakland Tribune\, San Jose Mercury\, and Santa Cruz Sentinel. Seeing an opportunity to bring healing energy to their community\, they recorded an emotionally-charged live performance of their song “Garden of Pain” among the ashes and rubble of where their home once stood with the help of friends The T Sisters\, which was featured on several streaming fundraisers to help raise much-needed donations for thousands of fire victims.\n\nThey have performed with California Honeydrops\, Allen Stone\, Cedric Burnside\, Fruition\, The Brothers Comatose\, AJ Lee & Blue Summit\, Shiny Ribs\, and Mother Hips. Their albums feature Jason Crosby (Jackson Browne)\, Stelth Ulvang (Lumineers)\, James Deprato (Chuck Prophet)\, and Eric Yates (Hot Buttered Rum). Currently in Radio rotation on local CA stations KPIG\, KZSC\, KRML\, KBCZ\, KSQD\, as well as WNCW in North Carolina and WDVX in Tennessee.\n\n\nSqwerv‘s roots run deep in the Denver music scene. Those roots began to take hold as the band started hosting local open jams and playing gigs at small bars and venues in 2017. Since then\, Sqwerv has become a staple in Denver’s music scene with bands like Magic Beans\, Squeaky Feet\, Eminence Ensemble and Rado.

SUMMARY:Uptown Theatre presents Altan
DESCRIPTION:Altan is celebrating forty years on the road\, bringing their native music to world-renowned stages such as Carnagie Hall\, the Sydney Opera House\, Dublin’s National Concert Hall as well as to the famous Glastonbury Festival\, Tradfest Temple Bar in Dublin\, and Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Brittany. \nBuilding on this history\, their latest album ‘Donegal’ was released in 2024 (Compass Records) and has received widespread positive reviews. SUMMARY:Mystic Theatre presents The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes it’s hard to believe that The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus began their expedition into the hearts and minds of a generation 20 years ago. Their blazing 2006 debut single “Face Down” delivered both anthemic choruses and a strident message about domestic abuse\, with the song and the album it appears on ‘Don’t You Fake It”’ (both celebrating their 20th Anniversary in 2026) achieving both sales accolades and adoration from crowds all over the planet. They’ve accomplished a massive amount\, from 5x platinum record sales to close to 2 billion streams and a worldwide touring history\, but the band’s real success begins and ends with the dedication and passion frontman Ronnie Winter has for his fans. From the poignancy of “Face Down\,” to the blistering 2025 singles “Perfection” and “Slipping Through\,” to the fan favorites “Brace Yourself” (from 2020’s ‘The Emergency EP’) and the title track from 2011’s album ‘Am I The Enemy\,’ The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus continue to put sweat equity and sincerity into a world that desperately needs it in no uncertain terms. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have proven how far you can go by opening your heart and diming your guitar amps. This isn’t nostalgia—this is right now.

SUMMARY:Sweetwater Music Hall presents: The Rock and Roll Playhouse plays: Music of Talking Heads + More for Kids
DESCRIPTION:The Rock and Roll Playhouse\, a family concert series hosted at historic music venues across the country\, allows kids to “move\, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times). Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history\, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games\, movement\, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll. See you at the show! \nThis concert for kids and families shares the music of Talking Heads with a new generation of music lovers\, but is not associated with or endorsed by the artist. All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.  \nThe Rock and Roll Playhouse knows that little ears are sensitive\, so we turn down the volume at our shows.  However\, all kids experience music differently and you may find that your child is more comfortable wearing hearing protection earmuffs. \nPlease note:  By attending this event\, you consent to your image (with or without your voice) being included in photographs and/or film and videotape of the event\, and give the venue\, The Rock and Roll Playhouse and their respective licensees and assigns the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use and publish such content in any and all media\, whether now known or hereafter developed.

SUMMARY:Marin Theatre presents Betrayal
DESCRIPTION:The end is the beginning. Moving backwards and forwards in time\, Betrayal illuminates a seven-year affair between Emma and Jerry\, her husband Robert’s closest friend. As the story unravels\, the tension between memory and reality is sharpened\, revealing shifting perspectives\, hidden motives\, unspoken power dynamics\, and titillating pleasure behind the deception. Laced with Pinter’s signature wit\, this piercing drama is a masterclass in what is said — and unsaid — between lovers and friends. Words and silences punctuate the irreversible consequences of long-concealed truths and betrayals which reverberate far beyond a single act.\n\nThis play is recommended for ages 16 and up.

SUMMARY:Sweetwater Music Hall presents 5th Annual Sweetwater Music Hall Fall Gala: An Evening with St. Vincent
DESCRIPTION:5th Annual Sweetwater Music Hall Fall Benefit Gala \nfeaturing iconic artist St. Vincent \nSt. Vincent has been regarded as one of the most innovative and fascinating presences in modern music for nearly 20 years\, constantly reinventing her audio and visual personae over the course of a kaleidoscopic catalog and winning six GRAMMY Awards along the way.  \nThis is an intimate\, seated show with a very limited number of tickets available. \nAnnie Clark made her recorded debut as St. Vincent in 2007 with Marry Me\, quickly becoming regarded as one of the most innovative and fascinating presences in modern music. Her subsequent albums would include Actor (2009)\, Strange Mercy (2011)\, her self-titled fourth album and winner of the 2014 GRAMMY for Best Alternative Album. In 2017\, her fifth album MASSEDUCTION would break St. Vincent into the U.S. and UK top 10s and win two more GRAMMYs (Best Rock Song for its title track\, and Best Recording Package). 2021’s Daddy’s Home found St. Vincent channeling the hungover glamor and gritty sepia-toned soundtrack of 1970s downtown NYC to an ecstatic reception\, ultimately winning her a second Best Alternative Album GRAMMY. Following a 2021-2022 global tour that reaffirmed St. Vincent’s status as one of live music’s preeminent forces with headline appearances at the likes of the Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall\, Clark would begin work on album number seven: Her first fully self- produced album (having co-produced every one of her previous efforts)—and third Best Alternative Album GRAMMY winner— All Born Screaming is St. Vincent at her most primal.\n\nFeaturing Clark leading “a curated group of rippers” through the brawny “Broken Man” (her second Best Rock Song GRAMMY winner)\, infectious Best Alternative Performance GRAMMY- winning “Flea\,” and mordant catwalk sashay through deafening assault of self-loathing that is “Big Time Nothing\,” All Born Screaming is equal parts spiritual desolation and rapturous acceptance. “If you’re born screaming\, that’s a great sign\,” says Clark\, “because it means you’re breathing. You’re alive. My god. It’s joyous. And then it’s also a protest. We’re all born in protest in a certain way. It’s terrifying to be alive\, it’s ecstatic to be alive. It’s everything.”
