DESCRIPTION:Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman is a work of deep and revealing beauty\, that remains one of the most profound achievements in American theater. \nSet in late 1940s Brooklyn and told through a montage of memories\, dreams\, and arguments of the protagonist traveling salesman Willy Loman who is despondent with his life and appears to be slipping into senility. Several tragic\, soul-searching revelations – concerning his wife\, his sons and his business associates – underscore how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. \nArthur Miller had been thinking about a play about a salesman for years. He also had new interest in the simultaneity of the past and present. Miller sought to “do a play without any transitions at all\, dialogue that would simply leap from bone to bone of a skeleton that would not for an instant cease being added to\, an organism as strictly economic as a leaf\, as trim as an ant.”

In early October\, after a month at sea\, she was imprisoned in Israel for five days along with hundreds of her comrades.\n\nSoon after\, Blanton released The Little Flame\, a song of solidarity covered widely on social media during her detention.
