SUMMARY:6th Street Playhouse presents Sister Act
DESCRIPTION:“One of the season’s happiest surprises.”\n—Elisabeth Vincentelli for New York Post \nSister Act is the high-energy musical comedy based on the beloved 1992 film. Featuring an electrifying Alan Menken score infused with disco and gospel beats\, this feel-good show is a celebration of music\, sisterhood\, and second chances. \nWhen disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime\, she’s forced into hiding—in a convent! Disguised as a nun\, she transforms the struggling choir with her powerhouse voice\, helping them find their sound while discovering her own. Nominated for five Tony Awards\, Sister Act is a joyful\, soul-stirring spectacle that proves music—and a little mischief—can work miracles!

SUMMARY:Mountain Play presents The Wizard of Oz
DESCRIPTION:Considered the ultimate musical theater experience\, Mountain Play has beckoned locals and visitors up Mount Tamalpais since 1913. This spectacular venue gives the entire audience a panoramic view of legendary Mt. Tamalpais.  \nYou can choose to hike the 7-mile trail from Mill Valley; please allow 2 to 2.5 hours if you do.  Or you can bicycle up the mountain. Click here for biking directions. You can drive\, but you must reserve a parking space as there are less that 200 spaces available for this 3\,750 seat venue. Most people opt to take the shuttle\, which is just $10/person or $5 for youth. You will park and ride from the Tamalpais High School or Shoreline Parking Lot. Many opt to take the shuttle to the event\, then hike the downhill journey back.  You can bring a picnic lunch or pre-order a box lunch\, which will be waiting for you at the venue. You will see that option when you purchase your tickets. There will be beer and wine vendors at the venue as well. Not all vendors take credit cards\, so you might wish to bring some cash. \nThis year’s production is The Wizard of Oz. Follow the yellow brick trail to Mount Tamalpais in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale\, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale\, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz\, continues to thrill audiences worldwide. “Over the Rainbow\,” “We’re Off to See the Wizard” and “If I Only Had a Brain” are just a few of the musical gems included in this production. \nBook your musical theater adventure now!

SUMMARY:Roustabout Theater’s Professional Ensemble presents The Homecoming
DESCRIPTION:Roustabout Theater’s Intimate Revival of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming Explores Family\, Power and Desire \nA searing masterpiece of modern theater\, The Homecoming returns to the stage in a riveting new production that features beloved North Bay actors in this provocative drama by Nobel Prize–winning playwright Harold Pinter. \nSet in 1960’s North London\, The Homecoming explores how an unexpected family reunion spirals into a tense and witty psychological battle\, as shifting alliances and unspoken desires transform the household. Through razor-sharp dialogue and unexpected humor\, Pinter draws audiences into a world where every pause speaks volumes. \nCelebrated for its daring themes and uncompromising vision\, The Homecoming won the Tony Award for Best Play and remains one of the defining works of twentieth-century drama. Roustabout’s dynamic Ensemble promises a memorable theatrical event as it questions the roles we perform within our own families. \nPerformances are June 13 – 28 at The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts where Roustabout Theater is Resident Theater Company. \nRoustabout Theater is the longest running Resident Theater at the LBC offering both our Professional Ensemble performances utilizing professional talent from across the Bay Area and our award-winning Apprentice Program\, a leading training program for actors and stage managers ages 11 – 20.

SUMMARY:Luther Burbank Center presents Luther Locals Live with Eric Long Band
DESCRIPTION:From the heart of West County\, the Eric Long Band plays good-time\, feel-good\, fun-lovin’ music that harkens back to the original Americana and Alt-Country acts of the 1960s and ‘70s. In 2025 the band released their full-length LP\, Honky Tonk Wisdom\, and performed at San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Situated in a developing Sonoma County Sound\, the Eric Long Band delivers a howling good time that captures the unpolished joy of country played loud and loose. \nAbout Luther Locals Live \nMake it all about great music\, family fun\, and dancing on the big green grass this summer with Luther Locals Live\, LBC’s free outdoor concert series featuring the local bands you love. Plus local eats\, craft beers\, and Rodney Strong Vineyards wines. All under the shade of the LBC Pavilion!
