You’re invited to a musical Chanukah Celebration in Guerneville

Books & Letters, Guerneville’s fabulous bookstore is once again presenting its free annual Chanukah concert and party, featuring Laurie Lippin on accordion and Lois Pearlman on vocals Join us Saturday evening, Dec. 20 to enjoy tunes in Yiddish, English and Italian. There will be traditional favorites like Ale Brider and Ofyn Pripetchik, Chanukah songs like Oy Chanukah and Tom Lehrer’s Hanukkah in Santa Monica, and leftist and anti-fascist songs like Bella Ciao.

Afterward we will share each other’s company and some delicious homemade treats.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. in Books & Letters, 14045 Armstrong Woods Road, next to Coffee Bazaar and near the intersection with Main Street. This is our holiday gift to the community, but, of course, tips for the musicians will be gratefully accepted.

Laurie is one half of the popular instrumental duo Two Tribes and Lois is a well-known actress, often appearing with Pegasus Theater Company.
