Brazilian musician Marco Antonio de Carvalho is an award-winning guitarist, singer and composer. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, he toured the US extensively, originally on tour with Paulo Sá (mandolin), and fell in love with Seattle where he has now lived for over 25 years. Marco has produced seven albums with Origin Records.
While his heart is in jazz, ukulele player Neal Chin plays across many genres, including Hawaiian, folk, rock and hip-hop. Neal won the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award in 2014 for his contribution to ‘The Akira Project,’ and was twice nominated for Ukulele Album of the Year ‘for ‘Ukulele Paintings’ and ‘The Spotless Mind.’
Percussionist Ami Molinelli specializes in American, Brazilian and Latin music. Her current musical project Raizes do Choro & Samba, with guitar masters Rogério Souza and Edinho Gerber, features women composers and the intersection between choro and samba.
